The question is, WILL GOD LEAVE YOU AND DENY YOU? Well, let’s find out what the Bible says. Primarily, the scripture used to argue that God will deny is based on 2 Timothy 2:12-13. It says:

12 “If we DENY him, he will also DENY us.”

(NO-COVENANT PEOPLE)

13 if we are faithless,

HE REMAINS FAITHFUL

for he CANNOT deny himself.

(NEW-COVENANT PEOPLE)

Now, before I get started, I just want to let you know that first off, this scripture is taken out of context, okay? Second, I want you to know that there are three major covenants in the Bible. What do I mean three? Look, 99% of the time, you hear about the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

You know, even grace teachers, 99% of the time, will talk about the Old Covenant versus the new, but there’s a third covenant that they never talk about. It’s NO COVENANT. It’s major; and primarily, the confusion and the misunderstanding and all the fear that has been taught in this latter-day time to the children of God, have been preachers and teachers misunderstanding the word of God, and preaching No-Covenant promises to New Covenant children of God. And this verse under consideration, is one example of preachers misunderstanding the gospel and applying No-Covenant promises and threatening, and with a fear-based style of preaching,  the children of God.

In the Old covenant, Israelites said, “I will, I will, I will.”

In the New Covenant, God says, “I will, I will, I will, according to what I’ve done. I’ve provided a sacrifice, says the Lord. I made it happen. I will never leave you.”

God declares His love for you according to the New Covenant, but the No Covenant is you saying, “I won’t. I deny what you’ve done. I won’t,” and then God says, “I won’t.”

So I submit to you today the scripture in 2 Timothy 2:13 is often taken out of context. Actually, that portion of scripture points to how He responds to people who are under No Covenant and New Covenant BOTH. But

Applying the No-Covenant portion to New Covenant people has caused a lot of fear.

They say, “God is going to leave me.” They’re more acquainted with their sin and what they’ve done wrong, and what they haven’t done, and what they may not do; and in their heart, there’s a lot of fear about how they might not make it—and they have the mindset, “God will deny me and God will leave me.” And so they lack a revelation of God’s New Covenant commitment to them, and what God committed Himself to do, and what God said He would do for them. You know why? Because most teachers and preachers misunderstand God’s intent for His people. There’s a misunderstanding of the Bible and then the body of Christ and teachers are preaching No-Covenant promises—No-Covenant commitment—to New Covenant children of God.

Therefore, the New Covenant is not based on what you can do for God, but it’s based on what God HAS ALREADY PROMISED and ALREADY DONE and WILL DO FOR YOU according to the New Covenant promises. That’s what it’s all about. The Lord prophesied the New Covenant in context of the old. Let’s go to scripture, Jeremiah 32:40.

I WILL make an everlasting covenant with them:

I WILL never stop doing good to them,

and I WILL inspire them to worship me,

so that THEY WILL

never turn away from me.”

He says, “I WILL make the covenant. You don’t have to make a covenant and make an oath with me declaring what you’re going to do for me like the Israelites did.” He says, “I will do it, and it will be everlasting. It will never end. I will make this covenant.”

And He says, “I will NEVER STOP DOING GOOD TO YOU.” He says, “I will.” The new covenant promises are all about I WILL. God says, “I WILL. The Lord says, “Stop trying to show me what you can do for me. Let me show you what I will do for you. Let me perform what I will do for you. Stop trying to be self-righteous and perform, but receive by faith WHAT I WILL DO,” and God DOES. The New Covenant is not about what you can do for God, but it’s all about what God says He will do for you.

He says, “I WILL INSPIRE THEM TO WORSHIP ME.” He will inspire you, so that they will do what? I didn’t say it, the Bible said it. God says it. He says, “Look, I’ll be so good to you. I WILL and the result is, you will NEVER TURN from me, because I WILL.” In other words, as to your faithfulness, I will be so faithful to you until you turn faithful. Even if you’re unfaithful, I WILL TURN YOU FAITHFUL. You will never turn away from me.” It is the “I will” of God. He says, “I will never.” That is God’s New Covenant commitment to you and to me.

But if you do not have a covenant, there is no covenant, you’re under no covenant, you have no covenant with God through Christ, there is no blood, and there is no atoning sacrifice. You have no deal worked out with God, you have no contract with God. You don’t know how to approach Him. You say, “I won’t,” and so God says, “I won’t.”

But if you’re saved children of God and you have a new covenant with God, I submit to you today, God says, “I WILL.” Even if your life is mixed with an ‘I won’t’ because you’re in sin—and sin is causing you to say, I won’t—

God says, “My ‘I will’ will change and overcome and override and overturn your ‘I won’t’.” He says, “I will make your ‘I won’t’ into an ‘I will’ so that you NEVER TURN AWAY FROM ME. My ‘I will’ is bigger than your ‘I won’t’ if you have a covenant with me.”

Watch this, God says, “I will.” 2 Timothy 4:8-18 says:

I WILL RESCUE YOU from every evil attack

and

I WILL bring you safely

to my heavenly kingdom.”

The New Covenant is all about what God is going to do for you and has promised for you. Receive His promises by FAITH THROUGH GRACE, lest any man should boast. God says, “I WILL bring you safely to my heavenly Kingdom. I will accomplish what I started in your life. I will carry it. I will finish it. I will complete it.” God says “I WILL” and His ‘I will’ will turn around your ‘I can’t.’ GOD WILL NOT DENY HIS CHILDREN who are under the New Covenant commitment. He is committed to you, and He not only says I will, but He’s married you. He’s married to the backslider, and He says, “I DO.

How awesome and amazing is that? The question is, do you have a new covenant or are you under the new covenant? I submit to you today, don’t allow any preacher to apply No-Covenant promises to you since you are a new covenant child of God. Your new covenant is not based on what you can do for Him, but it’s about you receiving by faith what He said HE WILL DO FOR YOU. God says:

John 6:37

I WILL never cast you out.”

Hebrews 13:5

I WILL never leave you nor forsake you.

He is committed to you. He will not give up on you. He will not turn around on you. He will not let you down. He says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. YOU ARE MINE. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MINE.” Receive that in Jesus’ name, you children of God, and don’t allow anyone to confuse you and sow fear in your heart by applying No-Covenant promises to you. Now let’s go back to the original scripture. We’re going to conclude this.

GOD’S COVENANT COMMITMENT TO YOU

2 Timothy 2:13

“IF YOU DENY ME,

I WILL ALSO DENY YOU;

If you are faithless,

I WILL REMAIN faithful,

for I CANNOT deny MYSELF.”

How could God talk to both No Covenant and the New Covenant people in the same verse? He does it all the time, all throughout the Bible, and that’s the confusion. You must read the Bible in context. You must know what your promises are in the full context of God, and you must realize and discern and recognize, and rightly divide the Word so that you know what is yours according to the New Covenant and when God is speaking to those who have no covenant. He says, “If you deny me, I will also deny you.” This portion applies to No-Covenant people. That does not apply to covenant children of God.

Watch this: he said, “Now you children of God, let me talk to you. If you are faithless, you can’t make it, your sin is overwhelming you. Your body and your sin, you keep falling.” Yet He says, “I will remain faithful to you. I cannot deny myself.”

The Lord says, “Listen, when you become a covenant child of God, you are more than just my child. You become me, and I will treat you like I treat myself, and I will never give up on myself.” The Lord says, “I CANNOT.” God can do all things, but there’s one thing God can’t do—HE CAN’T GIVE UP ON YOU.

He cannot deny you, because when you become a child of God, with the the Father and the Son, you become one. And the moment you become one, you become a part of Him, and He cannot deny you because you are Him. You are more than just a servant. You are more than even just a son. You are now a part of Him. You are now Him. He is in you and you are in Him, and the two of you are one, and He cannot deny you.

God cannot deny you if you are a new covenant child of God. He is COMMITTED to you. His commitment goes so far that He boasts and says, “I cannot deny you because you are me now, and I cannot deny myself, and so even though you remained faithless, don’t worry, I still got you. I’m never going to give up on you. I’m never going to stop getting you what you need. I’m going to overwhelm you with my love. I’m going to transform you and change you. I will NEVER leave you or forsake you. I will NEVER cast you out. I will never stop doing good to you. I will never stop inspiring you.” God says, “I cannot give up on you. You have a new covenant commitment with me, and I will honor that covenant commitment because now you are mine.”

Last but not least, Romans 5:20 says:

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase.

But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.

No matter what issue you have, I submit to you today, no matter what issue you’re struggling with, God is bigger than that issue. He says, “I will cleanse you. I will wash you. I will never give up on you. I won’t deny you. No matter what you’re struggling with, I will help you overcome. I will help you. I will send you the comforter. I will give you the helper. I will imbue you with power. I will never leave you. I will keep striving.”

He says, “I will keep going after you. I will never deny you because I cannot deny you.” God says, “I will never, and I cannot deny myself, those who have become one with me under the New Covenant, who have a new covenant with me.” If you enter into a new covenant and become born again, a child of God, everything changes. That means God’s ‘I will’ will overcome your ‘I will.’ When you remain faithless, God’s faithfulness will overcome your faithlessness until He TRANSFORMS you so you become a faithful child of God.

But where sin (your ‘I will’) increased, grace (God’s ‘I will’) increased all the more.
